Dreamhost just announced that they will be lowering the maximum cash discount for promo codes from $97 to $50. In 6 days!

So, for now, the MAXDHSAVINGS Promo Code will still save you up to $97 at Dreamhost, but starting on the 11th, it will be knocked down to $50.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great deal at $50 off–even at $0 off. But… the days of the $22.40 first year are coming to an end.

Jumpline Offers 90 Days of Free Hosting

Jumpline is currently running a special offer that allows you to sign up for a free 90 days of their web hosting service. The offer should be good at least through December, possibly longer.

Well, it looks like the Yahoo $1.99 Domain Sale will be coming to an end shortly. I just received notice from them that they’ll be pulling the offer on November 5th, so you’ve only got about a week left if you want a cheap domain.

UPDATE: Well, the 5th has come and gone, but the code still seems to be working. I’m not sure how long they’ll leave it up, but so far, you can still get a $1.99 domain.

UPDATE #2: Maybe it’s finally over? I just clicked the link & it redirected to Yahoo Personals, but I’ll leave it up for now just incase they run it again.

Dreamhost Eats Lunarpages for Lunch

This isn’t a good time to be Lunarpages. After making a huge mistake by hijacking their users’ 404 pages and turning them into ads, rewriting their TOS after the fact, censoring their forum, etc… Dreamhost has stepped up and offered Lunarpage Refugees a full year of hosting for free.

If you’re a Lunarpages customer and would like to switch to Dreamhost, you can use their LOONEYPAGES promo code for one free year of hosting. NOTE: This will NOT work unless you are a Lunarpages customer.

Update: Josh from Dreamhost has mentioned that in order for the promo code to work, you have to choose that you want to transfer your domain registration to Dreamhost during the sign-up process–but you don’t actually have to transfer it. Just enter a fake auth code if you wish to leave your domain registration as-is.

Once again, you can register domains at Yahoo for $1.99. If you’re looking for cheap domain registrations, this is a hard deal to beat.

I believe they limit 1 domain per Yahoo user ID, but you can process multiple orders by creating more IDs.
